New 200 & 400 Tonne Standard Fertiliser Shed Sizes
Providing Smart Storage At A Smaller Scale!

A Timely Update For Fertiliser Storage
Fertiliser sheds have been trending over the past few years.
Operations from mixed farming enterprises to large cropping corporates are proving the value of dedicated on-farm fertiliser storage.
The demand continues to grow, with recent fertiliser quality and supply issues, and incidents of silos collapsing, serving as the catalyst for many new fertiliser sheds in 2025.
This has also sparked the addition of two new sizes to the Action Standard Fertiliser Shed Range.
Sheds The Recommended Storage Option For Fertiliser
Widespread reports of fertiliser clumping and causing silos to collapse also comes as a timely reminder that sheds are the recommended storage option for fertiliser.
This is primarily because fertilisers such as DAP and DAP blends are hygroscopic. This means that they absorb moisture during storage, increasing the risk of a silo collapsing.
Fertiliser suppliers, such as Incitec Pivot advise against storing fertiliser in silos for this reason. You can download the Incitec Pivot MAP & DAP Fact Sheet here. (PDF Download)
Beyond safety, a fertiliser shed can provide some significant benefits, whether it is for large or small-scale storage.
A well-designed fertiliser shed can save you time and money at cropping and provide value year-round.
This is being proved time and time again by growers like Craig Henderson.

And you don’t need to be storing at the scale that Craig is to benefit.
Here’s why John Bennett added a versatile fertiliser/grain/hay shed into his storage mix.

So, sheds are the safer and smarter way to store fertiliser, and the Standard Fertiliser Shed Range is a great place to start.
Standard Fertiliser Shed Sizes: 200 Tonne & 400 Tonne Options Now Available
Responding to the demand for fertiliser sheds, our building consultants developed the Standard Fertiliser Shed Range to help you get your project planning and budgeting underway.
The addition of 200-tonne and 400-tonne storage options is intended to make safe storage accessible to those storing smaller amounts of product on-farm.
The 1000 tonne and 1500 tonne options are still available and have proven to work well for large enterprises storing in bulk or storing multiple products.
It is also worth noting that the sizes and designs included in the Standard Range are suggestions only and can be customised to suit your requirements.
